McCormick believes in rewarding its undergraduates and graduating seniors who perform exceptionally well. As such, prizes and honors based on academic performance are given on a quarterly and annual basis to deserving students. Each quarter, students who took a full-time course load three or more units of credit and received a grade point average of 3. These students are sent an Honors certificate. For those students with a perfect 4.
College Honors: Weinberg College - Northwestern University
April in Northwestern University. I currently have a 3. I know Northwestern doesn't have a GPA cut off for these. They do percentages, but Weinberg econ and School of Communication have a very different distribution of grades.. So I don't know how this would work. April Replies to: Magna Cum Laude?
Degrees with honors are determined by grades in all work at Northwestern University and are awarded to the top 25 percent of the students in each school who complete graduation requirements. Graduation honors are not announced before Spring Commencement, and the GPA cutoffs for each level of honors based on the stated percentages are not made public. Departmental honors may be granted to graduating seniors who have done outstanding work in a department in connection with a research project or work of an integrative nature.
If you take at least three graded courses during a quarter and earn a GPA of 3. Each spring, the Northwestern chapter of Phi Beta Kappa elects juniors and seniors in Weinberg College to that society. Students do not apply to Phi Beta Kappa, but are elected on the basis of numerous criteria, including GPA, the selection of courses, and instructors' recommendations. No more than 10 percent of any graduating class may be elected. Other academic honors are awarded at graduation.
